 Chapter one concludes...

As bron was sitting on the cell with Summer, he heard his mothers car pulling up into the drive way.
“ hey Summer, my mom just pulled up, so let me get started on my homework because the first thing she is going to ask me when she walk in is, Bron I’m home, then how was your day, then are you doing your homework. Laughing on the other end of the phone, Summer said, “well I guess you better get going then, you don’t want your mom to think you were lying do you? Bron said with a shy response, “ naw your right, no sooner then he could get the words out of his mouth, his mom was calling up to him from the bottom of the stairs, “ Bron?. Bron? I’m home. Quickly saying his good byes to Summer, Bron sat his cell phone down, as he turned his face towards his room door to answer his mom. “hi mom, I’m up in my room, and knowing it wasn’t true he said, “I had a pretty cool day, amd I was made the captain of the varsity basketball team. His mom yelling upstairs to him said, “ well that sounds great, but it would sound better, if you would come down stairs and talk, and also kindly remove your oversized book bag from in front of the kitchen door?. Biting on his bottom lip, Bron said to himself, “oh man, I left my book bag on the kitchen floor, which meant that he had to do the dishes after dinner. Bron developed a habit of, walking through his front door after school, going right to the fridge for a cold drink, and to grab something to munch on until dinner, but he sometimes forgot to take his bag upstairs, and either got on the cell with his friends or on his computer. Bron’s mom came home about an hour after him, so if she came home and saw his book bag in the middle of the kitchen floor, then she knew that Bron had not started on his homework.
After coming down, and saying a proper hi by way of a hug, bron glanced over at his book bag still sitting there, then looking back at his mom, who was grinning with a innocent look on her face, bron just threw his arms up in defeat, as he went to retrieve his book bag from the middle of the kitchen floor. Still looking at her son with that same victorious grin, bron pulled out the dirty smelly uniform and headed towards the laundry room.

 Chapter one continues...

Bron decided that most of his day was spent feeling sad for himself, so he picked up his cell to call Summer when he heard the garbage truck next door.
jumping up from his desk, he remembered that his mom told him not to forget to put out the garbage. rushing down the stairs, he barely made it, as the truck was approaching his home, " hey...hey. Bron yelling at the truck driver, was able to catch his attention, and jumping off the back of the truck, the collecter said, " man you just caught us, we are running late today, and it's a good thing that i saw you running for your garbage.
" yeah man said Bron, my mom would never let me forget about this.
Thanking the driver and returning back into the house, Bron went back upstairs to call Summer, after making a pit stop in the kitchen for a couple of sandwiches and a glass of ice cold milk.

Running upstairs to his room, Bron went to give himself a bathroom break, then sat at his desk to start on his homework.
Much of the day was spent, trying to deal with the pain he was feeling inside.
It was true that his dad was Gone, but he had a hard time accepting it. Living everyday with out him .

Bron was five, when his dad took him to his first basket ball game, it was the New York Knicks, against the 76ers. He and his dad were avid basket ball lovers, and they both loved the Knicks.
When Bron was 12, his dad encouraged him, to try out for the local team at the PAL club.
The coaches immediately loved Bron, and all the energy that he brought to the team.

As Bron's mind drifted back to just a year ago, tears flowed down his cheek of it's own accord. The new season was on it's way, but the energy he once had as a young up and coming basketball player, was slowly fading away.
